When Mars is deemed hospitable for human life, a person might want to live there to gain an extra 40 minutes each day. Many people like the excitement of being a pioneer on a new world and moving to Mars would help to ease the overcrowding on Earth.
people might want to live there because it would be a great honur to be one of the first people going to live there moreover the conditions of the earth are worsening day by day so,people can hope for a better lifestyle there
because yo wouldn't be able to breathe. Two suggested ways to produce oxygen are to melt the polar ice that's deep underground so that it releases the trapped oxygen and/or to have gigantic greenhouses (and how to keep those plants alive). However Mars cannot hold a CO2 and Oxygen atmosphere for very long as it's such a small planet, eventually those elements would escape into space (not very long is relative, we're talking possibly millions of years here).
The best solution with our technology is to live in a relatively small surface station and use electrolysis on water to split it into oxygen and hydrogen gas. That is how the ISS produces oxygen, as well as a secondary system of pressurized tanks of oxygen. Here on Earth, oxygen is 21% of the atmosphere at sea level. It's important to maintain a proper balance.
Another hurdle is the solar radiation humans would be exposed to since Mars has a very weak electromagnetic field. That may prove the more difficult problem to overcome. The ISS, and other station in the past, have been so low in the atmosphere that Earth's EM field protects them for the most part (although there are times when radiation levels rise and they have to take shelter in a more shielded area of the station). We see on the movie Total Recall, that after the planet was populated with oxygen, people went outside the station onto the surface. In reality, that would be a bad idea.
because there is no water on mars so no one can live there you need water to live
because mars is awesome
Mars is the most Earth-like of all the planets in our solar system (not including Earth itself). While it would certainly not be easy for human beings to live on Mars, it would nonetheless be easier for human beings to live on Mars, than it would be for them to live on Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, or Neptune. So in terms of interplanetary colonization, Mars seems to be the best bet.
no it would not be impossible to live on mars.but it would be very hard. the carbon dioxide is SUPER poisoning.
There Would Be Bad Air For Everyone. If They Take Off Their Space Helmets,They Can't Breath. There Would Be A Volcano On Mars. You Would Be Bad To A Space Car. Be Nice To Everything On Mars.
No. Mars has a very thin atmosphere, about 1/100th of Earth, which would kill if you were exposed to it.
There are several reasons: 1. There is no air so you would suffocate. 2. It is extremely cold on Mars. 3. There is no water to drink. 4. There is no food on Mars.
You cannot live on the planet Mars without an oxygen supply. You also would be safest in a space suit. In the future, some scientists hope we can make a biosphere on Mars. However, as of right now, you wouldn't want to live on Mars. I would say wait a millennium or two.
with oxygen water and food you could live in a green house on mars if you can build one
Well 1. WHY WOULD WE WANT TO LIVE ON MARS?! I mean really, what's the point? A new society on a new planet? That sounds lame to me. I like it where I am right now. Why would we want to try and live on a new planet. It was hard enough for the Puritans and what not to move to America and settle there. Doesnt matter about technology, because it's all useless on Mars. Besides, if you think about it, it will be 10 times as hard to live on Mars because we dont have natural resources our bodys need. I.E. Food, water, OXYGEN!
It is a cold planet. Aliens would have to adapt but could live there. It is -125 to 23 ° Fahrenheit. If there were aliens, which there might be, they might want to buy it because you would be able to jump 3 times as high on Mars as you can on Earth. I would want to buy it, but I would pack WARM clothes. Lolz.
to live on Mars you would need Oxogen, water, food, and lots of sun tanning lotion because Mars is very hot!
Maybe. It is a cold planet. Aliens would have to adapt but could live there. It is -125 to 23 ° Fahrenheit. If there were aliens, which there might be, they might want to buy it because you would be able to jump 3 times as high on Mars as you can on Earth. I would want to buy it, but I would pack, like, really WARM clothes. Haha.
It would not be easy to live on Mars since it does not have a breathable atmosphere, however, with sufficient technological support, it is possible to live on Mars.
I would probably live on Mars with my alien besties.
this is Bruno mars... why would i tell you?
NO they can't it is to cold to live there
you would be able to live on the mars when your older because It would not be a bum hole like it is now and when were older because I'm 16 it would be a great place to live on.
you would be freezing and have no food
