It is done to create animals or plants that are useful in some way to humans, or animals. In the wild, it is done for survivial instincs (a wild cat sees a bigger male cat and thinks that it's offspring will be big, too). In the human world, it is mainly done for entertainment (but mostly by accident) (like the liger, or a zony, pretty funny looking animals, right?). Hope my awnser helped!!
Selective breeding is a way of maintaining animal existence. Selective breeding is when the strong survive. If only the weak survived then all animals would die out quickly
Selective breeding.
Farmers use selective breeding all the time.
Selective breeding
To eventually get the best possible animal.
Biotechnology is involved in Selective Breeding.
the process of selecting a few organisms with the desired traits to serve as parents of the next generation is called what?
Artificial selection, also called selective breeding, is a form of human intervention in plant or animal evolution.
Is the process by which humans use animal breeding and plant breeding to selectively develop particular phenotypic traits. So males and females will sexually reproduce and have an offspring together.
domestication
yes because we would not have anf wild life to look at if there was no breeding.
selective breeding; been going on for thousands of years. genetic engineering; been going on for decades.
