Hydraulic rock drills or drifters need a lubrication of the front part (rotation gears, bushings) as well as pressurization of the percussion chamber (in order to avoid dust or water to penetrate in it and cause damages).
This lubrication and pressurization is usually done with a mix of oil and compressed air.
This pressurized drifter front head is well distinct from the flushing air inlet which send the compressed air in the drill steel for the flushing.
But in some cases, the seals are damaged and the oil + air mix can enter in the drill steel.
Check the front seals at shank adapter level, depending on the drill brand and quality they can fail or wear.

the diamonds are the strongest natural material on earth. these drills can drill through anything
The giant drill used to tunnel through mountains is called a tunnel boring machine, or sometimes just a boring machine. These machines can cut through both soil and rock.
No. But it is a popular theme in science fiction.
Diamond is harder than any other mineral. A diamond bit can drill through any rock.
If you drill, you will go through the Earth's crust, and for approx 1,800 miles of solid material (called the mantle). After that you will enter the core, which is made of iron and nickel, but the temperature goes up to 3700º Celcius and therefore is in liquid form. So, to answer your question, no, you cannot drill into the core of the earth.
Depending on the type of drill BIT, it may drill through almost anything.
An ordinary HSS drill bit can not cut through glass. A diamond tipped drill bit is necessary for this.
A pillar drill can cut through almost any material if the speed is correct and the appropriate drill bit is used.
You can drill through tile, but doing so would most likely crack and break the entire tile. It is not recommended to drill through a tile, unless it is a soft tile, where the tile will not break if drilled through.
Cobalt Drill Bits Ideal for drilling into hardened steel.
yes
One use is to drill through tile without cracking it.
The colour is irrelevant , that just depends on the manufacturer. To cut through concrete you need a 'carbide tipped' drill bit. This tip is a little wider than the drill bit and is quite obvious.
drill through it
Yes
There have been several attempts to drill all the way through the Earth's crust and into the mantle, but these have not yet succeeded.
drill bits are most likely to slip when drilling through tiles or stock.
