yes there was
They are treated like they're holy, and left to their own free will. Unfortunately those cows are forced in a natural environment to eat highly unnatural items like the garbage and human waste that litters the streets in India. The lucky (and smart) cows that venture outside of the large urban areas get to eat the grass and forbs that grow along roads, near farms, on farms, and in cutblocks. Cows raised on farms are used for milk and currently, for meat as well, contrary to popular belief. But it is the Bos indicus cows that are considered holy, not the Bos taurus ones. Either way, cows are treated with great reverence and respect because of the huge importance of the many religions in India.
To Reader, Cows are important in India because they produce milk. People in India just drink it like that. There fore in India I have a farm and that has a cow so we get our milk from there. From India123girl
