Things DO sink in the Red Sea. It is just that the salt content is so high the water tends to be more buoyant.
A sea cannot be be an island !?
The red sea has the best scuba diving in the world because of the sink boats and tanks to build up the reef.
The islands do not float, and cannot sink. Think of the islands as being REALLY tall mountains- that start on the sea floor and go up from there. Part of the mountain is above water.
