Personally, I was born into it (AOG, and my mother was Foursquare). But I rejected it in the late 1980s to early 1990s as I believe they misinterpret the verses in Acts about the events on the day of Pentecost.
My grandfather (dad's side) was a strong pentecostal and firmly believed "If god sent me as a missionary to a land where I did not know the language I would not have to study to learn it, the holy spirit would perform a miracle and I would speak it when I arrived there." This seems like "lazy" thinking and actually very arrogant to me.
Pentecostal is a denomination of the Christian religion, it is not a religion itself. My father is a Pentecostal minister and I grew up going to Pentecostal churches. No foods are prohibited in the Pentecostal church. I think the only religion that prohibits certain foods are Judaism and Islam.
