Clear-cutting large areas of rainforest for timber or agriculture without proper reforestation or conservation efforts is an unsustainable way to use a rainforest. This can lead to deforestation, loss of biodiversity, habitat destruction, and contribute to climate change.
It is believed that the Olmecs practiced slash-and-burn agriculture, but evidence of them clearing large areas of rainforest for city building is less clear. There is some evidence of deforestation in specific areas, but it is not certain to what extent this was for urban development.

Frasier Island in Queensland has a sand rainforest, which is quite different from a rainforest based in dirt. 3. Much of the west coast Tasmania is rainforest.
There are no rainforests in Tennessee. There are swampy areas and bog areas, but no rainforest. In order to have a rainforest, one needs to have more than 60 inches of rain and Tennessee's average rainfall is much less than that.

Many of the flowers in the rainforest are unique and are not found in any other areas of the world. Rainforest flowers are exotic with vivid colors and some have medicinal properties. Orchids and the Indian paintbrush are rainforest flowers.
