- Breaking up and still hurting after two years is because as humans we often have fond memories of the person we were once with, but often forget why there was a break up. Breaking up with someone you love is a grieving process similar to grieving over someone you love that has died and the relationship has died so you are grieving. There is no time frame for a person getting over grief, but after two years of a break up it is important to surround yourself with family and friends and get out and start dating again. If you stop and think there is no point in sitting around moping over what use to be in your previous relationship and there is still happiness to be had in your future if you try.

You didn't say what your problems were and if it was because of his job problems (if he has any) but, if you love him then wait. It's never easy to breakup with someone you once loved and normal people don't want to hurt someone they once loved so it's best to be honest and breakup with him now and move on.
