Some people teeth are crooked for many reasons. Because of this, orthodontists created braces to align a peoples teeth back in correct.
In adults, crossbite correction usually involves a combination of orthodontic appliances, since the jaws are fully developed and don’t respond as easily as they do in children. Common treatment options include: Braces: Metal or ceramic braces are frequently used because they allow precise control over tooth movement and bite correction. Clear Aligners (Invisalign): Aligners can correct mild to moderate crossbites in adults, especially when the issue is dental rather than skeletal. Palatal Expanders: While expanders are more common in children, some adults may need a surgically assisted expander if the upper jaw is too narrow. Bite Splints or Occlusal Appliances: These are often used as supportive tools to help manage jaw positioning, reduce uneven forces, or assist with minor bite adjustments. Elastics (Rubber Bands): Elastics are commonly used with braces or aligners to guide the bite into proper alignment. Because adult treatment relies on moving teeth rather than guiding jaw growth, progress can be slower. In some cases, orthognathic surgery may be recommended if the jaw alignment can’t be corrected with appliances alone. Regular orthodontic monitoring is key to achieving a stable, healthy bite
no dogs don't need braces
A dentist will usually tell you if you need braces or not.
I would say (if you personally asked me) that animals do not need braces. Why? Because animals mouths are oddly shaped so putting braces in would be very tough. Another thing is, nature basically gives the animals perfect mouths from day one. So giving braces to animals is not really needed. But that does not mean animals don't need dental care. In fact without dental care an animals mouth would be so painful it might need surgery to fix the pain. I think braces would cause pain then actually help.
Fortunately, I do not need to have braces put in right now. When I was a child, I had to have braces during two different periods of my life. If you thnk you need braces, please see an orthodontist.
Nope, not permanently! You would need braces or retainers for that!

If you actually want braces, you're crazy. p.s. you need crooked teeth to get braces.
Mady had a crossbite. They said Cara doesn't need braces now, but might need them in the future.
Braces are designed to move your teeth into better alignment. A retainer is designed to keep your teeth in their current position following braces. If your teeth are where you want them to be, you do not need braces or a retainer. If they are not, you will need to have them moved with braces followed by a retainer to hold them in place.
