Could be a number of reasons. You may not have enough refrigerant. You may have a blockage in the system. The low side sensor may not be engaging the compressor clutch. The compressor clutch may be defective. You may have too much refrigerant, which causes sensors in the system to shut down the compressor. You may not have sufficient airflow through the condenser (usually due to bent fins).
bad condenser
you may just be low on freon
Check the temperature control cable
it simply means you have to add freon to ur air conditioner....you can buy freon at any auto parts store.
Clutch possibly not engaged compressor maybe.
Compressor not running?Heater control in heat position?
I have a 1989 Chevy Cavalier, and I need to know how to put freon in to use the air conditioner in my Cavalier. Right now it is blowing hot air, would like cold air. Please help me.
you might need freon in the air condition.
As the Freon level in your air conditioning system gets lower the cold air will become warmer and warmer. You will need to recharge the system with Freon.
Your low on freon, pick some up and have a mechanic put it in for you!
Could be no Freon in it.
Check to see if the ac compressor is running. If it is not, use a gauge to check the Freon levels, as low Freon is the most common cause of no cold air blowing.
