Most likely cause could be the fuel pressure regulator located on injector rail with vacuum hose attached to it. This vacuum hose when disconnected after the engine has been shut off 15 minutes should show signs of fuel indicating a bad regulator.
The coil might be bad ,,like it was in mine
sounds like an injector is bad.
its most likely your idle control sensor. if you replace it the truck should run fine.
check all the Fuses and fuse links (Altnator to Fuse box to battery)
There are several things that can cause your 1999 Ford Crown Victoria to idle rough when it is cold. The most common cause is a leak in one of the vacuum hoses.
Factory pressure is 75psi. However, the book says that the truck will run fine as long as the psi > 50. Mine is currently 52psi and the truck runs fine....idles a tiny bit rough sometimes.
Could be a plugged catalytic converter or bad coil. Both will act up when they get warm.
The most common reason for a vehicle to run rough when it is cold is bad spark plugs or bad spark plug wires. Change the spark plugs and spark plug wires.
If a 1994 Ranger V6 4.0 runs rough while driving but idles fine, potential issues could include a faulty mass air flow (MAF) sensor, vacuum leaks, or problems with the ignition system such as worn spark plugs or ignition coils. Additionally, issues with fuel delivery, such as a clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump, could also be contributing factors. A thorough diagnostic check, including scanning for error codes and inspecting these components, will help identify the specific cause of the rough running.
mass air flow (maf) causes the running ruff but not really the stalled start my z and many others have this same problem
If the boat idles fine and revs fine in neutral in the water and idles fine on the trailer, however has no power when you stick it into drive and give it some throttle a common problem with some of these early Mercury V6's is in the stator. The only way to fix this is to replace the stator.
Probably a bad idle air control valve.
