names like spring, summer, fall and winter are simply just names given to periods of time that have the same weather. It is all based on the weather patterns

In the summer it can be very warm anywhere from 75 to 105 degrees f. Some winters are colder than other but we have gotten down to about 18 degrees f but generally I would say Alabama is more warm than cold!:0)

depends on the elevation if its high elevation its warm in the summer and winters are great for skiing, If its a low elevation HOT HOT HOT in the summer 105-120 Fahrenheit and very warm winters from 68-75 Fahrenheit

Iowa has colder winters because it isn't Lake side. The Lake keeps Chicago warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Other wise it would be a toss up.
