What does the ghost in Hamlet symbolize?

if you are asking this for, say, a homework assignment, then I recommend you figure it out on your own, as your teacher could find this easily. The ghost in Shakespeare's Hamlet is Hamlet's father, who is dead. In Hamlet, Hamlet's father is killed by Hamlet's uncle. Hamlet's father's ghost (the ghost) comes back to basically tell Hamlet what happened, and to tell him (more or less) to have revenge on Hamlet's uncle.

Why are Hamlet and claudius unscrupulous adversaries?

Hamlet is mad at Gertrude for happily marrying so soon and to he's Uncle of all people. And as for Claudius, to take the place of Hamlet's father was a villain of a decision. Most of the madness is shown after the Ghost appears and tells what has happened in the past. Revenge for what has happened---Father's brother poisoned me while sleeping in the orchard. Remember me. Act 1, scene 5.

Why is Hamlet suicidal?

Hamlet is suicidal because his father, who was very dear to him, had just been murdered by Hamlet's uncle, Claudius. Within two short months of his father's murder, Hamlet's mother, Gertrude then married that very same Claudius. This is the main reason as to Hamlet's suicidal tendancies but he is also very mixed up in his head due to encounters with his father's ghost.
