Like all other stars where created by a nebulae. They believe that a supernova exploded near by and that ended up stirring the gases in the nebulae and then through nuclear fusion of hydrogen to helium the sun was created. The sun is now 4.5 billion years old and in another 5billion years it will explode and become a red giant destroying all the life in out small solar system.
