no its a different engine so it wont match up to the tranny preludes are 2.0s and 1.8s civics are 1.6
I was not wondering if a B18C engine will mate to my 1997 Civic manual transmission because I know it will not fit.
No, the Honda Civic springs is not compatible with any generation of the Honda Prelude.
Unless you fabricate them in some way to fit, it won't fit any generation of Honda Prelude.
Yes
Yes, I actually bought a 93 accord trans for my 96 prelude. The 91-93 accords have the same engine and trans as the 92-96 preludes.
yes
No. The Prelude has a B20A5 motor. The civic will have a D-series tranny. They will not interchange (B and D series parts do not interchange).
If the 1998 is a Civic then yes it will fit.
NO, they have two completely different motors.
No, different bolt pattern.
The answer is no because the civic was redesigned in 2001 and also the trans also changes too.
No Transmissions are usually car specific. You cant take a longer trans, and throw it on a smaller car... It would depend on what motor you have on the crx and what motor the prelude tranny came off from. I believe the 5 speed manual transmission on the prelude will mate up to both the 1.8L and 2.0L Prelude engine. So if your crx has either of those engines then you should be good to go.
