I believe it will. It will show that you are related. You should make sure that they know this is the case. They might not know you are related so they may not give you the correct insurance policy.

Can a uninsured car be driven by a insured driver?

Insurance is purchased for the car, not the driver. Until the car has been insured it cannot be driven by anyone. Note that most states do allow a short grace period after you purchase a car in which it can be driven without insurance to let you purchase insurance and handle title/registration paperwork. This grace period does not apply to a car that you have either allowed the insurance to lapse or have removed its insurance. If you already have another car insured (which it appears you do) and wish to drive a car that is not currently insured, contact your insurance agent and have them temporarily transfer the policy to the other car.

Can you purchase life insurance on your ex husband you have 2 children and he refuses to buy any?

People will only buy insurance for 3 reasons; Love, Character and a Divorce Decree. Sound like he has none of those. You should get a court order forcing him to buy insurance to protect his child support payments making you the beneficiary. Likewise you should have some if something happens to you, despite how much you hate him. You can make the purchase of life insurance on him if he will agree to sign the application. He is a dirtbag if he won't even let you do that! 4lifeguild

Can a car only get repossessed for no insurance?

Absolutely. When you purchase and finance a vehicle you sign a legally binding contract. Perhaps you should read what you sign. The contract states that you agree to carry insurance that includes comprehensive and collision with a maximum deductible of usually $500. If you let your insurance cancel then you have broken the contract and therefore the finance company can reposses the vehicle.
