It depends on the methodology. My laboratory screens for a panel of 10 drugs, including opiates. Since darvocet is a synthetic opioid, it will not show up. It may be detected by other drug screen panels. Some newer drug panels do include tests for propoxyphene, which is one of the active ingredients in darvocet.
