No!
Nvidia is the best one for high end graphics cards. de 8800 Ultra is stillt he fastest stand alone graphics card. But the 3870X2 is fast too, tough it is 2 graphics cards in one. 8800GT is a very good card to go with, or even sli 8800gt is faster than 3870X2 or 8800 Ultra. On High end Nvidia Rules, on mid-high end also Nvidia, on Mid end Ati and low end is ati and nvidia.
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M For NEWER gaming id say 9800 gx2. for OLDER probably 9800gtx or 8800 ultra
Yes NVidia GeForce 8400 GS 256MB DH PCIe x1 Card You want to get the one with the product # GJ120AA. Here's a link. http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ca/en/sm/WF28a/12454-12454-64287-3328898-3328898-3459242-3747458.html?dnr=1 Just click on Graphics Devices. If the DC7800 is similar to the DC7700, you will also have to make sure you have the PCI riser card on your DC7800.
No this only supports Pixel Shader 3.0
Graphics cards processes all your graphics in your computer. It plays a important role for gamers. All Graphics Cards have memory, these come in 128MB, 256MB, 512MB. The more memory your computer has, the faster it will run and combine it with a good processor equals awesome pc! Memory in your CPU (central processing unit or know as processors), GPU (Graphics Processing Unit or Graphics card or video card) is just like extra RAM which makes your computer faster. The more memory your computer has, the faster it will run! If you are looking forward to buying a graphics card, you should find someone who can install it and nvidia graphics cards are highly recommended by me. PLEASE DO NOT buy INTEL graphics cards as they aren't good and have many common problems such as: breaking down soon like 3-12months, blue screens etc. Nvidia Geforce 7800GT are decent graphics cards that are a couple years old but still run ultra smooth and these can range costs about $150-$250, depending on how much memory it has. Although Nvidia 9800GT will flog it and probably the best but costs around $400 depending on how much memory it has. Also, ATI cards are also good but i recommend nvidia because they are better. I hope this information was useful! Thanks- Drkzin
I have the same card on my laptop I get around 500-750 fps on ultra in Stormwind on a busyday I was getting 780fps in cata zones
They look at the number and the name first. They release the higher number of the series of the graphics cards but as they progress they make alternative graphics cards for the performance users and finish off with the mainstream users and start off again with the higher number graphics cards with a higher number again. e.g geforce 7,8,9,GTX Many people believe that the higher the number the better for example Geforce 9600 GT will beat the Geforce 8800 Ultra but that is not true This is a product naming scheme from nVidia Enthusiast/Overclocker/Gamer = GTX, Ultra, GX2 Geforce 7950 GX2 GeForce 8800 GTX/Ultra GeForce 6800 Ultra Mainstream User = GSO, GT, GTS, GTO GeForce 7600GT, GeForce 8600GT GeForce 6600GT Value Conscious User = SE, LE, GS, GeForce 7300GS, GeForce 6200
Yeah, but you won't be able to have ultra graphics or whatever.
Yes using the preset Ultra settings with no MSAA and FXAA on at 1920x1080. It will not work with the highres textures though so please disable them. Depending on the rest of your setup you can expected to get around 30fps.
The Geforce 8 series and the best is the Nvida Geforce 8800 Ultra (768 MB of memory, 384-bit, 103.7 GB/second of bandwidth). If you think to buy one buy a Nvidia, are better, faster and cheapest than others (incluiding Ati Radeon). I Don't know how old the answer before mine was but it is clearly out of date. The best Nvidia graphics card out right now Jan 2011 is the Geforce GTX 580. For specs look it up their website. Runs any visuals at 1980x 1280x, x16 antialiasing, highest setting, with over 90 frames per second. (smooth frames per second is 30 to 40)
the ipad 2 has a better processor, so it has the capability of better graphics HOWEVER, the retena display (ultra HD Display) is not on the ipad yet, so it is likely that things will LOOK better on the ipod
Completely loaded question, try again. Take into consideration that ATI was bought by AMD and no longer exists. For computer graphics, at the time of this posting, nVidia has been ruling the high-end gaming realm for over a year now. With the 8800GT, GTS, GTX, and Ultra dominating the field, and the 9 series making its debut, we are still waiting for AMD to bring a competitive high-end graphics card to the mix. The HD 3870 X2 is the closest AMD has gotten so far and it still has not reached true high-end performance.
