Yes
All US states and territories honor each other's requests for extradition - there are no 'safe-haven' states - it is impossible to say whether a particular state will choose to extradite you or not, there are simply too many variables. It may depend on the offense and the seriousness of it and/or how badly they want you returned - most states WILL extradite for felony offenses.
Is it a misdemeanor of felony? What specific class?
If IL entered the warrant into the national crime information computer it probably will show up on a background check. Whether MI actually will choose to extradite you on a misdemeanor offense cannot be known.
Maybe, it depends on what the person was on probation for in Georgia. It depends how much time they have remaining on probation and how much of that could possibly be revoked. And it probably depends on the budget available to the State, the County, and to the Court in Georgia. It would cost a couple thousand dollars to send a deputy from Georgia to Illinois to escort this prisoner back, and they won't do that for a small case. For a serious case with a lot of possible prison time left to revoke, yes they will.Added: All US states and territories honor each other's requests for extradition - there are no 'safe-haven' states - it is impossible to know with certainty whether a particular state will choose to extradite you or not, there are simply too many variables. I'm surprised that third DUI would be treated so lightly as a misdemeanor !!
