According to some of the staff from The Jelly Belly Company, "Jelly Belly Jelly Beans" are being updated due to America's Food & Beverage Revival in 2016, and each jelly bean flavor has to have many features each as its own upgrade.

There will finally be a total of over 1,000 recipes that The Jelly Belly Candy Company, adding hundreds more recipes to all of our existing recipes for "Jelly Belly Jelly Beans" as our own signature product probably in 2016.
