I have tried to install Microsoft Picture It '99 on XP and have had no success. It is not true that everything works with XP!!! It might be that the disc I have is faulty, even though I have installed and reinstalled with it many times when using 98, but since changing to xp and trying to install it is a no go. I am trying to find another disc to confirm that it is the OP and not the disc. Bear in mind that most older programs will not work with XP. Programs like Paint Shop Pro 4.2 will only work up to OP system '95 for instance.
There are many parameters to consider when installing programs besides the required OP, some programs require very high amounts of RAM which is not a necessarily an accompaniement with XP. There is not any one OP that will run ALL programs.
I have found a way for Picture It to save using XP. First, create a folder on C: , then after you have completed your touch ups / alterations go to "Save, Send or Share".... Click on "Save to another web site" ..... Then click on "export to a folder on my computer". This will save your work as a Jpeg in the folder you created. Then you can extract the file from the folder. Unfortunately I haven't figured out how to save it as a PNG file
On same way like you and your mother where xp is mother
