Very unlikely, but possible. Because a misdemeanor carries minor fines and punishments it is unlikely that NY would invest the time and expense necessary to extradite.
Keep in mind that he officers in PA will still know that you have a warrant in NY and you may get extra attention because of it. It's simplest and best to contact the court issueing the warrant and get the matter resolved.
As long as the warrant is outstanding, you will likely find it difficult to get a job that has a background check and may receive *special* attention from any other police officer you encounter.

All US states and territories honor each other's requests for extradition - there are no 'safe-haven' states - It is impossible to know with certainty whether a particular state will choose to extradite you for a particular offense, or not, there are simply too many variables. It may depend, in part, on the offense and the seriousness of it, and/or how badly they want you returned - most states WILL extradite for felony offenses and crimes of violence.
