It is very doubtful that North Korea will attack another country. The North Korean leader is just a kid, he is acting all high and mighty just to show off to his country that he is a "strong" leader.
The US have dozens of anti-ballistic missile sites along their coasts which are capable of blowing up incoming missiles while they are still in the air, so if North Korea did bomb California, the missile or bomber would be destroyed mid-flight in the air.
North Korea would also be invaded by the Allies and NATO (UK, US, Russia, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Norway, Finland, Sweden, New Zealand, Japan, etc) if they launch a nuclear bomb at Another Country.
A very good answer above, however, if North Korea were stupid enough to try such an assault on the United States, there would be no invasion of their country. Chances are, they would be obliterated by our thermonuclear response.

I don't think so, not when the US is on South Korea's side with the largest amount of nukes in the world.
