No. Spain claims the treasure always belonged to them and they are under no obligation to compensate Odyssey Marine for any of the $2.6 million they spent to recover the treasure - which is estimated to be worth over $500 million for the value of the metals alone; the individual coins would bring much more than that if sold to collectors.
