Will Oxycontin and oxycodone both come back as opioid in urine test?

Exact same drug, one is trade nane and one is generic. They will show up as either opiates, or opioids in a urine test.

I don't know about the color of the pill or the lettering, but Oxycodone and Roxicodone, Roxicet and several others are instant release forms of Oxycontin. The "contin" part of Oxycontin means it is a continuous release form of the medicine, which is more powerful than morphine but not as powerful as dialudid. They are extremely dangerous narcotics that can, and have, killed many people over the years. Do not take any of these drugs without a doctor's express permission and knowledge, and then follow directions very, very carefully. Again, these drugs can and have killed people. They are nothing to fool around with.

i bed to differ...from my experience oxycodone is a different class of opiate than hydrocodone. I'm taking 10mg norco and my doctor give me a urine test when i go see him to get my scripts. i once ran out of my meds and took a percocet. when the lab test came back the doctor asked me the next month that i went there if i had taken any Oxycontin or percocet? i told him i took one percocet b/c i went out of town and forgot my meds so someone gave me a percocet to get thru my back pain. they told me that i wasn't allowed to do that b/c i am only prescribed hydrocodone (norco) and oxycodone is what's in oxys and percs. if the answer was that it shows up the same then my doc would've never known i had taken that percocet b/c I'm allowed to have hydrocodone which is in vicodin. it is all an opiate but i there area different classes. percs and oxys are schedule 2 narcotics and also including demerall and morpine, hydromorphones too I'm pretty sure of.

What does OxyContin 30 mg generic look like?
Oxycontin does now come in a 30mg and 60mg extended release form. The 30mg is similar in color to the 40mg oc's in that it is a brownish orange color and the 60mg is a bright red color. Also, their is an instant release form called roxicodone which is a small blue pill which is 30mg.
Can a urine drug screen differentiate between hydrocodone and oxycodone?
I believe that they are. I just had a urine test and i had taken hydrocodone 3 hours prior to the test (prescription of course). Got the results back today and nothing detected. Another friend of mine is on oxycodone prescription and he was also tested. Oxycodone showed up in the test and he had to show his script. The same test for both of us and his was detected. hope this helps
