Yeah, the PlayStation 3 is region free meaning that PS3 games from all over the world work on UK PS3s. (and on all PS3s for that matter)
However, this does not apply to PS2 and PS1 games, but since the Middle East uses the same encoding system as the UK (PAL) it can run all games from there, region free or not.

∙ 12y agoYes, the PS3 console is region free, meaning it will play all sort of games regardless of their region, keep in mind that movies are usually region locked so if you buy an american movie it might not work on a PAL ps3, but as far as games go they're region free.

∙ 12y agoNo, UK uses region 3, Phillipines uses Region 2, your ps3 will most likely only allow region 2 unless it is an english PS3 with english on it.
