Yes sometimes the chemical in the Prozac can be identified as a benzedrine. The volume that u take can make the test a false positive. Make sure to get a written note or diagnosis page from your physician

∙ 12y agoNo Prozac is an SSRI (a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) not a benzodiazepine. Prozac is used to treat depression, ocd and panic attacks. Benzodiazepines are used to treat anxiety.

Prozac will not make you test positive for Benzos in any way. They are a completely different class of drugs known as SSRI's or anti-depressants which are meant as a mood lifter or stabilizer. Benzos of the other hand such as Valium, Xanax, or Ativan which I take work on different chemicals entirely to calm a person with anxiety issues and the like. Prozac works on the chemical in the brain known as seratonin, both can be tested for in the blood but certainly should not be mistaken for the other.
