The cheaper the hair spray the better it works because it has more alcohol. I found that two different things that have been suggested for removing gel ink worked well together. I used rubbing alcohol and then, while it was still wet, "Zep Formula 505" which can be purchased at Home Depot. The two together worked better than either one alone.
