Sonny breaks up with Chad because since So Random won the tween choice award for best show Chad ordered a recount instead of being Happy for Sonny. In the season 2 finale episode, Chad will sing a song for Sonny to get back together. (also: there will be a new girl in this epy, plus that's the name of the episode). Only the Producers know if they WILL break up for good or if they will stay together.

What happens is So Random wins the tween choice awards and Chad gets all up set about it so he talks to Sonny and they both admit it feels weird. So after a while he comes back and tells Sonny that he demanded a recount. Mackenzie Falls won and So Random lost. Sonny was dissapointed and said that she can't be with someone who always puts himself first and that the worst part was that she knew he was trying to help. He leaves and they're both all sad but he leaves the award on the table (so sweet). With any luck they will get back together later in season 3 (you know they will it's Disney channel for Pete sakes!)
