Well, yes. They are five years apart and just so long as the 13-year-old is responsible, there's no reason they can't babysit an 8-year-old. It does depend on the parents, the kid, and the babysitter though. Each case is different.
There is no way that makes sense!
Yes, it is legal for a 13 year old to babysit a 8 year old in Kentucky. The 13 year old should always know emergency numbers and have a phone in case of trouble.

13+ to babysit in md 12 in most other states but you can be home alone for brief periods of time between 8 and 12, if the child left at home is under 8 you need a 13+ year old to be present. hope it helped :)
I don't think so.
Depends on how old you are, your maturity, and your responsibility...
Definitely not they are way too young

Yes! i am 12 and I have a 5 year old brother and an 8 yr old sis .... SUCCESSFUL!
Most Recent Answer:Yes, a 15 year old is able to babysit a child. There are typically no age requirements in order to babysit a child except in a few cases like Maryland, USA where you must be 13. As long as you are able to be mature and show it then it isn't a problem.Answer Two:Under the age of 18, to my knowledge, you are by law not allowed to be unsupervised period... so by law no. However alot of young teenagers are mature and responsible enough to babysit..
If its just you, you can babysit up to four kids, if there is someone helping you, you can babysit up to 8.
If the aforementioned 8 year old qualifies for a heart transplant, then yes.
