Yes... all third generation F body cars had the same crappy 7 - 5/8" rear end. I guess they were like 7.5" and updated to 7.625" later but it was the same housing so it all works anyway. I have an 83 camaro and blasted my rear and replaced it with an 87 that had 4.11's in it... now its a horribly fast accelerating one wheel wonder. I don't know who put those gears in it before junking it, but man is it a strange combination.
The rear hatch can be replaced by another hatch from an 82 to 92 firebird or camaro.
YES.
Yes
No.....The 70-74 are the same. The 75-81 are the same. Firebird will work also.
yes it should check out firebird nation online forum community. they are very helpful!
no. but it will fit on a garbage truck
yep same size
It should, but may be a tad wider
I would think so. The 1982 to 1992 Camaro/Firebird are the same generation. There wasn't much that changed in the way of the body on the cars. They changed the front and rear bumbers/grills/lights around a little, but even these will swap from year to year in entirety.
The fourth generation General Motors F-Body (Camaro/Firebird) was offered in multiple rear end gear ratios. These included 3.02, 3.42, and 3.73.
This is the removal and installation of a rear shock in a Camaro there might be some differences
Yes, from 1982 through to 1992 the rear ends should all fit. The are all the same generation car.
