No it will not,if yours is a 350. In 2000 and up GM. changed the design of the Chevy ingines(GEN II AND III) And every thing is different.
Now if you have the Gen. II 5.7L engine that is not the 350. Then it will fit in the newer trucks with no modifying.
Yes it will... but it's going to cost a lot to do it. Might as well buy a rebuilt 5.3 and install that instead. That way no need to worry about the wiring harness and all the other stuff you need to retrofit.
John L Sullivan says the same motor goes into 2001 up to 2008.... But Does that Mean that the motors will go in to same pattern?
from 1996 and older it will be a TBI. (throttle body injection) motor. IF newer then 1996 it will be a Vorteck engine NEUTZ
The heads will fit the block, but the vortec intake manifold will not bolt to the old style heads.
yes actually you can, its a bit costly tho. several performance auto parts manufactures carry the carborated intake that will fit on your 1995 or newer vortec motor.
Yes, you can put just about any motor in any vehicle, it just takes time, and knowelge (and money helps too). The 6.0L 367 is a pretty popular swap for the 88-98 Chevy/gmc trucks and SUVs If you mean a 96+ up motor, then no, 1996 gm introduced the vortec motor to the world and is not compatible with 95 and down applications, unless the computer and fuel systems are upgraded along with it. Your 1994 Chevy 3/4 ton has a 5.7L 350 not the Vortec 350 introduced in 1996.
yes all cars made in 1996 and newer are obd2
this swap can be done and it will work as far as the motor is concerned. BUT the bolt holes on the block may be different or not there at all as far as accessories and such that bolt to the front of the motor if using it in a newer vehicle. if using it in an older vehicle you will have to get the harness for the efi and ignition to work or order an aftermarket harness for the older vehicle to newer wiring harness for efi and ignotion.
Looks like in 2003 and newer Tahoe, Suburban, Silverado, and Avalanche vehicles, they no longer have an in cabin air filter.
No if you want to use the same transmission. They have different bolt patterns.
The Chevrolet 5.3L engine can refer to modern production units or the vintage 327 from the 1960s-70s. Modern Chevrolet 5.3L Vortec powertrains can use 0W30and 5W30 year round. 10W30 can also be used in these newer engines.
Yes you just have to put on your intake manifold off the newer engine, change over all of your sensors and put in the distributor off of the newer engine.
