yes it will, I put a 2002 cavalier 2.2 in a 2000 gmc sonoma, i had to swap the oil pan, timing chain cover intake manifold , exhaust manifold egr plate on the rear of the head oil dipstick tube oil pressure switch, tranny bolted right up baby runs like a top
