No. Not only is the .22 magnum more powerful, it is longer, and LARGER in diameter. It will not chamber in a .22 LR firearm. There are a few revolvers that aremade with 2 different cylinders- one in 22 LR, one in 22 Mag, that can be swapped- but the cartridges themselves cannot be used interchangeably.
A .22 Long Rifles actual bullet is smaller than a magnum, not to mention the case diameter. So you wont be able to chamber a .22 Mag in a .22 LR...A .22 LR will chamber in a .22 Mag but due to the case diameter it will possibly split(possibly injuring the person shooting the gun,or damaging the firearm),and the bullet rattles around for about 3" in most gun barrels before it stabilizes, causing leading, premature barrel wear, and loss of accuracy...Dont Try It!!!
No
NO! The .22 mag case is larger in diameter than the .22 long rifle case thus the chamber of a .22 mag gun is too large for a .22 long rifle bullet. If the bullet does fire, the case will split with unpleasant and innaccurate results.
No. .22 Magnum and .22 Long Rifle are not interchangeable.
No, they are different sizes.
IF a rifle is chambered in caliber .35y magnum, yes. Among others, Marlin made a lever action .357 magnum rifle.
Yes- and it is spelled Stinger
Depends on the rifle. A .22 is accurate to about 100 yards, can fire a bullet about 1.5 miles. A .338 Lapua is accurate to about 1500 yards, and can fire a bullet ABOUT 5 miles.
Usually. They may not feed well in semi auto, pump or lever guns. Some will, some won't. But if it will chamber it will shoot.
No, My grand dad gave me one. as the kid I am, I tried this before . The .22 magnum is to big to fit in the gun.
The Winchester .300 Magnum cartridge will fire a bullet about 5-6 MILES- but not accurately. The .300 Mag is an effective long range rifle cartridge, but effective range will depend on the individual rifle and skill of the shooter. They are frequently used in 1000 meter matches.
If you mean a Remington 512 X Sportsmaster, no. It is for .22 Short, Long, Long rifle cartridges. The .22 magnum is longer, larger in diameter and more powerful.
Your rifle should be chambered for .22 Magnum. As such, the chamber is too long and too big for .22 Long Rifle and, if the shell will fire, the case will usually split. Not recommended.
