no, small bore ,big combustion chamber you want big bore small chambers
Yes they will with no problems. They are basicly the same heads, Just different CCs.
No, 283 has too small a bore. The old power pack heads that came on some 283's were 202,160's, so I would think the 305 heads should work just fine. Not sure about the resulting compression ratio though. The 305 intake might be aluminum, which would be lighter than the 283 intake.
yes
No. 305's have small valves due to the 305's small bore. Large valve heads can't be used on the 305 because the valves will hit the cylinder block. 350 heads breathe MUCH better than 305 heads. Stick with the 350 heads.
The bolt holes are in the same place, but the larger combustion chambers and big valves would probably make the 305 run like crap.
no I respectfully disagree. I am running 305 Chevy TBI heads on my 1971 Chevy 307 and all is very well.
The heads will fit the block, but the vortec intake manifold will not bolt to the old style heads.
Yes, they will work. but you wont gain power because the little 305 isn't putting out enough flow to keep up with the heads
305 heads of course, 350 heads will fit for sure and possibly 400. obviously no big block heads will fit. a 305 with 400 heads gets you a little over 352. 350 with 400 heads is a 383. add and divide
They are basically the same heads, If the 93 350 is a vortex motor.
If the ports on the heads on the 88 are the same as your 76 intake it should work.
YES. The heads will bolt right on.
