The heads will fit the block, but the vortec intake manifold will not bolt to the old style heads.
YES. The heads will bolt right on.
Yes, I've got a 307 running 305 heads in my old truck. I read somewhere it's actually worth a few extra horsepower
yes! depending on the block. ie. a 350 or 305 will work with newer heads and intakes. as long as you have the correct gasket. the heads can not be reverse flow. they will not work without modification.
heads will bolt on but will not work. the combustion chamber is too small resultingin too much compression.most anything else (brackets, exhaust accessories etc.)will work
THE CAM, THE HEADS, AND THE PISTONS ARE DIFFERENT FOR EACH VEHICLE. EXAMPLE A 5.7 CORVETTE HAS DIFFERENT NEEDS THAN A 5.7 K1500 SILVARADO. TRUCK HAS 190HP AND THE VETTE HAS 350HP THERE ARE OTHER DIFFERENCES BUT THE CAM AND THE HEADS ARE THE MAIN FACTORS. HOPE THIS HELPS..
No it Has a different bolt pattern because of the engine size
Into the heads only.
Yes you can.
Yes their the same block....
Yes, they should fit ok. 305 heads should bump up the compression a little.
No. 305's have small valves due to the 305's small bore. Large valve heads can't be used on the 305 because the valves will hit the cylinder block. 350 heads breathe MUCH better than 305 heads. Stick with the 350 heads.
