The 455 and 400 was an option motor in the 1972 Pontiac LeMans, yes it will fit. I'm not sure if a beefier tranny was also included?
No. they are different head designs.
Yes, the starter from a 350 Oldsmobile engine can generally fit on a 455 Oldsmobile motor, as both engines share similar starter mounting configurations. However, it's essential to verify specific compatibility based on the year and model of the engines, as there may be slight variations in starter designs. Always check for proper alignment and engagement with the flywheel when making the swap.
Chevy, Buick and Cadillac shared the same bolt pattern as did Oldsmobile and Pontiac but, some transmissions had two bolt patterns to fit all GM blocks. If your Chevy Turbo 350 transmission has the dual pattern it will fit the Oldsmobile engine, if not it won't fit.
The 455 will fit. The transmission might have a shorter tailshaft, though.
