yes the bell housing should bolt right up. its basically the same transmission for both vehicles, but you might check and see if the tail pieces match up. but other than that its basically the same motor and transmission for both. the z28 should have a 305 if so it would certainly bolt up. overall yes it will work. i just put a motor from a 91 sierra in an 85 camaro z28 and had no issues.

bell housing are the same for bbc and sbc. clutch will need to be correct and check the mounting location lengths compared to the bellhousing for fitment.
