A lot depends on what motor/tranny you started with and what you plan to end with (aka 2.3 NA 5spd to a 2.3turbo Automatic obviously has more involved) But as a short block yes, but you will have to migrate all parts of the intake and probably a couple of the accessory drives from the 2001 block......
The 2001 Kia Rio's engine produces 96 hp @ 5800 rpm.
The Saab 96 automobile was first put into production in 1960, designed by Sixten Sason. It continued to be produced by Saab Automobiles until it was discontinued in January 1980.
yes
No it will not. The 96 vortec has a crankshaft sensor and alot of other sensors on the engine that is required so the transmission will work that will not interchange with the 92 engine. Even the fuel pump would have to be changed. You must put a VORTEC engine back in the 96 so everything will work correctly.
Depends on which engine and how much work you are willing to do.
no im sorry i dont believe so...
The engine will have to work harder to get it rolling.
No, some of the connectors are different.
NO it will not. You would need the heads off the vortec engine to make it all work. The 96 that you are talking about should be a VORTEC engine already from the factory. But you may have an early 96 and that is why it is a TBI engine. That was the year they switch to a vortec. 96 TBI no such animal,TBI OBD2 no
96 VW jetta the engine rotatas but will not start

If the 96 Transmission is a 5speed and the 2001 prelude is a 5speed, the mount from the 2001 Transmission should bolt up to the 96 Transmission and be a Direct Bold on Replacement.
