A500 and 42rh are the same thing. Just make sure you need an rh and not an re, rh has a 2 or 3 wire plug depending on year and the re has an 8 wire plug because it is totally computer controlled
I also have the exact same truck and im just wondering what tranny is interchangeable, and can I put in a a518 instead of the a500 thats in it. The A518/46rh will not fit. You need a 1993-1995 A500/42rh

To replace the A500 automatic transmission in your Dodge Dakota Shelby truck with a heavier-duty option, consider the A518 (also known as the 46RE) or the A606 (also known as the 46RH). Both of these transmissions offer greater torque capacity and durability, making them suitable for more demanding applications. Ensure that the replacement transmission is compatible with your engine and drivetrain to facilitate a smooth installation. Additionally, upgrading to a transmission cooler may help handle increased loads.

The EN equivalent grade to ASTM A500 depends on the specific type of steel used in ASTM A500, which is commonly used for structural purposes. Generally, the EN S235 or S275 grades are considered comparable for the carbon steel used in A500 Grade B and C. For A500 Grade A, S235 may be the closest equivalent. However, specific applications and requirements may require further assessment to ensure compatibility.
