from what I have the 28 " 2 3/4 & 3" magnum barrel is aprox .060 and the smooth bore slugster barrel(24") is aprox .073...I also saw on a post that the 2 3/4 non magnum barrell was .108 (aprox )
yes you can shoot rifled slugs through smooth bore barell, or use rifled choke for sabots. the sa08 takes the same choke as mossberg...win, etc.
There are several BB/Pellet gun models on the market that have smooth bore. If your model is designed for both BBs and Pellets then you you can shoot both.
Yes it could be done, but you would have to locate a smooth bore barrel to change it with. Remember smooth bore barrels are not as accurate as a rifled bore barrel.
Smooth-bore refers to a firearm or cannon which does not have a rifled barrel (a rifled barrel is one with ridges that corkscrew down the barrel to impart a spin to the bullet)
yes a rifled shotgun barrel or smooth shotgun barrel
Look inside. If it has lands and grooves, it is rifled. If it does not, it is smooth
any kind will kill a deer but if you have a smooth barrel than u need smooth slugs if you have a rifled barrel you need a rifled slug
You look down the barrel and if it is swirled it is a rifled barrel and if it is not swirled it is a smooth bore
Since the 9200 series seems to have been discontinued in 2001, I doubt if they are still making extra barrels, but it is possible. The gun was available with 18.5, 22, 24 (rifled and smooth), and 28" barrels. A gunsmith should be able to find some, or you can try contacting Numrich Gunparts.
