It is not the DVD drive itself that outputs sound, it is the computer that does. If your computer has a compatible sound card, then yes, Dolby Digital will be available.

The three parts of a computer responsible for output are the data writing output, such as a CD drive or USB drive. The second thing is the display, or screen. The third is the speaker.

Oh, dude, it's like a hard drive or solid-state drive. They store all your precious data when you're done using your computer. It's like a digital filing cabinet, but way cooler.

A output device is what you plug into a computer, such as mouse, keyboard, external hard drive, USB etc.
I don't think you can. If it's a digital tape recorder, you can always transfer the file to a computer and then from the computer to the pen drive.
Output devices. Anything that you receive is output. Input Devices: Keyboard mouse scanner CD drive a: drive Output Devices: Moniter Speakers Printer
It means the drive isn't a psychical drive, so it is a digital drive. If you have for example an iso file, you can let the computer think you have burned it on a disc and put it in the computer. It saves quite some money :P
a flash drive is an output device. A flash drive can fit into either category(input, output or storage). It simply depends on how it is used.
It's an input and an output device. Programs and data are input from the hard-drive to the computer's memory for processing. The results are written back onto the drive when you save your work.
