To teach shake: Hold the treat in your hand and try to get the dog to paw at it, then give him the treat. Once he gets going on this then raise your hand gradually until he'll put his paw on your hand. To teach roll over: First teach the dog "sit" and "lie down". Then once he's lying down, bring the treat to his shoulder. He should turn his head to reach it. Keep him on the ground and GENTLY push him onto his side. Guide him through it and then praise him lavishly. Rolling over is a hard thing for some dominant dogs because it makes them very vulnerable, so be sure to praise him for it -san-is-my-hero-
