Yes
no it probably will not... i dont really understand the question though. there is no such thing as a non vtec h22.. if its in a prelude the non vtec motor would probably be the 2.0 liter or the h23 dohc, and in this case the h22 valve cover will not fit.
it depends on the model, if its just the s model it has a H22, a 2.2l SOHC, but the si model has the H23, the 2.3l DOHC, however the h22 is vtec while the h23 isnt, if you are looking at a stock lude anyways.
yes because you can swap a h23 transmission onto an h22 engine
There are two types of tensioners for the prelude if you have an H23 (non vtec) then it is manual, if it is an H22 (vtech) then it is auto tensioner. due to failures with the auto tensioner it is highly recommended to swap over to a manual tensioner if you have an H22. As for the answer to the question, go to Preludepower.com or search the web for the repair manual to download, it is free and legal. Hope this helps. Only thing might be it has an h23 engine which is non-VTEC producing 160 bhp which falls short of the vtec prelude with the h22 making around 190 bhp. that's about it though.
i assume you question is can u have a vtec engine with out changing the original engine... simple. the answer is no... u want vtec, you have to get the whole engine. other wise you can modify you standard one with cams, pod, headers puter etc etc... good luck yes you can make a h23 prelude a vtec you just need the h22 heads along with ecu cause h23 ecu dosent support vtec, also theres a plug you got to pop out on the top of the h23 block.easier yet just put the h22 in the car. you really wont gain that much more from a 2.3 displacement only about 15 torqe and 10 hp give or take
Fuel relay under the dash.
It is located on the top radiator line where it connects to the block. There should be 2 bolts that secure it to the block.
H23 =Honda 23.. engine model
It will but you have to be sure, if its a v6 to get a v6 too, if its a 4 cylinder you have more options, you can go with a 98 to 02 transmission, If you have no luck finding one you can go with a Prelude transmisson. Here are some codes you can use in your research: F23 = 98-02 4 cylinder Accord H22/H23 = US and Japan Prelude F20B = European Accord SIR J30 = US 98-02 6 cylinder Accord All F and H series motors and transmissons are interchangable. Good luck.
Yes, it will fit with some minor modification. Other popular swaps are the h22a1, h22a4, h22a and h23.
The H23 was a pretty big motor. People have a hard time fitting them into integras and civics. When they do its too front heavy to be worth driving. (i.e. poor steering) Your accord has an even smaller engine compartment and even poorer suspension. Bad idea. Try a D series engine. Much cheaper, lighter, big boost from what you have.
