What type of lamp? Something like a flashlight?

Probably. There are two reasons that might cause an electrically powered lamp not to work on the moon. Both deal with the extreme temperature swings. If the physical components change due to the temperature, the physical parts and switches might not fit properly to make the necessary electrical connections. The other is if the power source is a battery, the extreme cold might reduce the electron flow enough to prevent sufficient energy exciting the lamp to create light.

Use of led bulbs could help with the second aspect.

If the ballast on a fluorescent light blows will the lamp still work?

Will a lamp work if you disconnect it from the wall outlet?

No, a lamp will not work if you disconnect it from the wall outlet. The outlet provides the electrical power necessary for the lamp to function, so without that connection, the lamp has no source of electricity. Even if the lamp is plugged in but turned off, it still requires a connection to the outlet to operate.

Buy a new "hazard lamp flasher" and install it. The hazard lamp flasher is located behind the instrument panel to the left of the steering column.

Can lamp work only on ac?

Depends. Lamps can certainly be built to work on either AC, or DC, or both. But some lamps, particularly those with electronics in them, either a dimmable lamp, or a fluorescent lamp, may only work with one type of electricity.

Will a lava lamp work better in hot or cold water?

A lava lamp will work better in hot water because the heat helps the wax inside the lamp melt and flow more easily, creating the lava lamp effect. Cold water may make the wax inside the lamp too thick and slow-moving, resulting in a less pronounced lava lamp effect.
