In most countries it will be mailed. It may be slowed, because it may have to be sorted by hand, as it will be kicked out of the sorting machines due to the odd location.
Gaskets that have an "UP" are marked with a stamp saying UP - LEFT - RIGHT. If there is no stamp, there is no "UP" on the gasket

Presuming the postage is of the correct amount, and the stamp is entirely on the front of the envelope (not 1/3 on the envelope and 2/3 over the top or side) it should not matter.
To fill in a postcard correctly, write the recipient's address on the right side and your message on the left side. Include a stamp in the top right corner and your return address in the top left corner. Make sure to write clearly and legibly.
