that answer is "YES" The stock works fine on a Marlin 30AS however there is some slight modification needed with a dremmel tool to get it perfect. The Fore end however does not fit as it is at least 3/4" to 1" short. On the Marlin 30AS there is a
fitting that is attached physically to the Barrel that has two screws on either side that attaches a metal cap onto the farthest end of the Fore End and the Marlin 336 Fore end will not reach that cap. SO....unless you have a fantastic gunsmith that can modify that metal cap so that it is 3/4" to 1" longer the fore end will not fit properly at all.
I didn't realize that the stock had to be removed from the rifle in order to pull the trigger and release the bolt. Ray
This will not fit a model 12
I have a marlin model 60 with a gold trigger..the price difference is not by much if any at all..they both cost the same. some gun shops will charge more, but most usually don't and charge the same. A model 60 with etching and wood work can sell for more than one with just a gold trigger.
No it is made for a specific model set.
If you have a great look that fits the store's needs, chances are you will be a store model.
The Western Field model 72 lever-action rifle was made by Mossberg and generally resembled the Marlin 336. These two rifles are not the same an no parts interchange EXCEPT for the scope mounts. The same bases that work on the Marlin 336 will work on the Western Field (or Mossberg or Revelation versions).
the glenfeild rifle is a marlin line, same quality of rifle, less the wood work. the model 25 was producd mainly in the 60's and 70's
Shreveport, Louisiana. U.S.A. At this moment, work.
It all depnds on the quality of the guns wear and condition and how much someone wants a gun that is hard to find replacement parts for and when you do they are not cheap. In excellent "like new" condition - between $500 and $650 In good condition - between $350 and $500 In "field" condition - between $200 and $400 You can find replacement stocks on E-bay for $100+ Value with a cut down stock will be less than an original 14 inch (LOP)- length over pull.
What do you want to know? I have an 1889 12ga. pump marlin, I would like to know how to remove the foregrip,to clean and possibly work over. Also if you might have some litriture about this shotgun you could e-mail to me,or if you had a ph. no. I could call and talk with you about this. thanks in advance Joe
No, the national stock exchange does not work on Saturday.
I have used the 10-round magazine for the Marlin 795 sold by Brownells (www.brownells.com) as 550-000-337. This is a nickel plated mag. Aside from extra capacity and nickel plating it appears to be the same design as the 7-round magazine that came with the rifle (Marlin 989). Brownells also sells a 7-round blued mag as 550-707-346 that should work.
