If they are both V6, then yes. '97-'99 all the same.
yes it will work.
if its an automatic then its absolutely necessary because automatics work using hydraulics.
Chevy did not build a Malibu in 1995.
NO
its broke
If the same engine and same 2wd versus 4wd, it should.
the bell housing is DIFFERENT on the 97 trans. You must put a 1993 to 1995 or 1998 are 1999 4L60E transmission back in it. The 1996 and 1997 will not work in the 98.
My parts look up says, no. Sorry. '97-'00 same.
No it will not. In late 1999 GM. redesigned the transmission, therefore it will not even bolt up to the 98 model.
With a little work you can fit a inline 6 fron a Toyota supra. you have to fabricate motor mounts and use a metric converter kit. I did this and now I run a 12.3 sec QT mile in my 1999 Malibu (same body and engin as 1998). No they won't fix. I have the exact years myself. engine is different.
A 1998 automatic transmission may not work very well on a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo. This is mainly due to the incompatibility of the two engine systems and some modifications may need to be made.Ê
