the transmission used in the v6 is the same as the transsmission in the V8 and they can be swapped either way. as in you can match the v8 with a v6 tranny or a v6 with a v8 tranny the bellhousing lines up the same
No.No.
depends on the v8 and the transmission really, but it is not a good idea. v6 tranny was not meant for the torque and horsepower of a v8.
NO it will not.
yes but the tranny wont last long with the extra power of a v8
Yes, the tranfercase can be swaped over, the 3.9 v6 has the same bolt pattern as the 318 v8
Your going to need to obviously pull the whole v6 unit out, change your tranny to match the 305 (the V6 tranny will do you no good, sell it), the main wiring harness should work for both engines as long as both engines V6 & V8 are carb, TBI or TPI. I would suggest asking someone who knows a lot about the motor switch for help...you may need it. The switch is much harder than a lot of people think.
i have a transmission i took off of a v8 350 motor and i wanna put it in a v6 motor. will it work? both are automatics
nope it well not work! unless u want to cut off both 22r n d v6 tranny bell housing n wield it to d tranny u want to use!
no
Everything is the same except the case and the valve body. I've parted out a lot of low mileage S-10's with 4L60E trannys and pulled the guts out and built 700R4's. The 4.3 V6 tranny's are the same as the V8 tranny's. You can do the same with 4 cyl tranny's but the torque converter, pump and front shaft is different.
Which engine, V6 or V8?Which engine, V6 or V8?
