Yes an apple magic trackpad would definitely work with an Australian macbook.
Although i think their kind of pointless, but anyways it would work.
Apple's Magic Trackpad only works with their Mac computers running Mac OS X 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard) or later.
After adding a Magic Trackpad to your iMac you need to run Software Update (from the Apple menu - top left corner) which will add a Trackpad section to your System Preferences.
Magic Trackpad was created on 2010-07-27.
Basically the trackpad is that thing on a MacBook that you use instead of a mouse in a separate unit. And if you like the sound of both you can connect an unlimited number of Bluetooth devices to your mac. If you are more interested in graphic design try a Bamboo tablet.
You can simply right-click on a corner of the trackpad (one-finger), or with two fingers, anywhere on the trackpad. If you're using a mouse (either the Mighty Mouse or Magic Mouse), go to the upper right of the mouse and click.
The trackpad is better for overall use, but the magicc mouse is a tool for perfection. If you consider buying a mouse you shouldn´t get it, it`s too low profile and isn`t a good mouse for that high of a price!
The started requirements for Apple's Magic Trackpad are: A Mac computer with Bluetooth wireless technology Mac OS X v10.6.4 or later Although it is not supported on other systems some people have been able achieve some limited usage (single click etc.) with certain versions of Windows (depending on version of Windows being used) but it will not be able to fully function (multi touch swipes etc.).
The Apple Mouse does not have multitouch as the magic mouse does
In the Mouse section of System Preferences you need to enable the Secondary Click and select the Right Click option. Once done clicking on the front right section of the mouse will produce right click, On a laptop tick the Secondary click option in the Trackpad section of System Preferences and place two fingers on the trackpad and click the button to produce a right click. On a Magic Trackpad you can either use a click on the bottom right corner with one finger or click the pad with two fingers for a right click which is set in the Trackpad section of System Preferences. Holding down the Control key while left clicking will also produce a right click.
As the standard iPad uses a touch sensitive screen as a control surface and does not have on screen pointer there is no point in connecting peripherals to control a pointer, although in theory such Bluetooth devices can be paired with the iPad.
Apple's Magic Mouse is not supported on computers running the Windows operating system.
